The genesis of this program was to facilitate small and medium entrepreneurs in obtaining funds for implementation of solutions for energy-efficient technologies and renewable energy sources. Small and medium entrepreneurs often face a lack of funds for environmental investments, which often have a long rate of return. PolSEFF brings entrepreneurs solution of these problems by following aspects:

• allowing to obtain a loan or lease on the investment, amounting to 1 million EURO through participating financial institutions (banks and leasing institutions),
• due to the form of financing is not required one-time purchase of new machinery and equipment,
• possibility to obtain additional benefits as the f investment premium (up 10 or 15%),
• possibility to obtain minimum 20% energy savings that can be used to repay the loan,
• possibility to use a list of qualified materials and equipment, which includes equipment qualified by PolSEFF engineers as efficient enough in relation to the most commonly used devices on the market.

Types of projects funded under the PolSEFF:

• Investment projects in energy efficiency, which are based on devices and solutions from the LEME list (for projects up to 250 000 EURO),
• Projects improving energy efficiency, where energy saving level should reach minimum 20% , based on individual solutions (up to 1 million EURO),
• Projects in commercial buildings, where it is required to achieve min. 30% energy savings,
• Projects in renewable energy (getting min 3 kWh per year per 1 invested EURO),
• Investments in capacity expansions at the suppliers of equipment and technologies that increase energy efficiency or renewable energy.

Photovoltaics (PV) involves direct processing of the solar radiation into the electricity in the cell build on the basis of silicon. A single cell produces up to 2 W of electricity. In order to reach higher voltage and power, the individual cells are combined adequately in series or in parallel. This is the way of building photovoltaic panels. Photovoltaic devices has durability, simplicity of construction and maintenance. The advantage of photovoltaic cells is that they can be built as an independent systems of power from a few microwatts to megawatts. It allows to use cells in all conditions, for example, in agricultural wasteland, post-industrial areas. The equipment can be as well integrated with the architectural objects (such as roofs, facades of buildings). Photovoltaic panels are environmentally safe, do not emit any noise or pollution.
